A new type of transportation! Not exactly luxury, but better than expected. Hurtigruten is a terrific and affordable way to see the coast and fjords up close. We opted for a one-day journey to a slightly more remote island town.

Bergen is the 2nd largest city in Norway and a most scenic spot with its hilly and coastal geography. It’s a university town and dominated by friendly students that make up a lot of the workforce.
